The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center is a neighborhood approach to provide a safe and nurturing environment committed to good citizenship and academic excellence. A grant was given to create an updated computer lab with high-performance PCs, adjustable chairs, and dual workstations for students ages 8–18. This technology is critical for underserved youth to complete homework, engage with new software and programs, and explore academic and career opportunities in a safe, structured environment.​​

Bridge Builders Foundation

 

Bridge Builders Foundation expands opportunities for youth and communities of color through education, mentorship, and community-based programming. A grant was given to expand STEM education through a Drone and Robotics program for underserved youth, giving students hands-on experience with emerging technologies, fostering 21st-century skills, and expanding academic and career pathways.

Latino Theater Company

The Latino Theater Company is a home for bold, contemporary stories exploring the U.S. Latina/o/x experience while amplifying diverse voices from Black, First Nation, Asian American, LGBTQ+, and other communities. A grant was given to build a state-of-the-art audiovisual studio for students in their theater programs, providing professional-grade equipment and soundproofing, giving underserved youth access to tools for creating audition tapes and digital projects, enhancing technical skills and opportunities for higher education and careers in theater and film.

Bloom Arts Foundation provides music and dance education to underserved  PreK-6th grade students in Los Angeles County. A grant was given to purchase instruments, classroom props, and sound equipment for students in schools with limited arts access, providing high-quality, arts education that foster creativity, executive functioning, and early developmental skills.

California Dance Institute

California Dance Institute improves and transforms the lives of public school students across Los Angeles through dance and music instruction. A grant was given to purchase costumes for kids ages 4-14 for their end-of-year performances, ensuring inclusive, engaging, and confidence-building arts experiences for underserved youth, including those with special needs.

Momentum

Momentum’s pediatric services help children with disabilities and medical conditions by providing therapies that increase each child’s ability to live a more fulfilling and independent life. A grant was given to refresh and upgrade the pediatric therapy gym at their Torrance clinic, providing high-quality occupational, physical, and speech therapy for children with disabilities, many from low-income households, supporting developmental milestones and long-term success.

Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory
 

Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory builds inclusive creative workforces by combining career development, culturally grounded arts practice, and healing-centered learning. A grant was given to purchase film equipment for students ages 16–24 to create PSAs and a documentary focused on mental health, giving underserved youth hands-on media experience.

Inner City Youth Orchestra

Inner City Youth Orchestra cultivates musical expression as a vehicle for personal development, and to bring to fruition the full musical and academic potential of young residents of inner-city Los Angeles.  A grant was awarded to purchase 45 iPads and secure storage carts for programs serving underserved youth ages 12–26, expanding digital music composition, improving engagement, and providing underserved youth access to standard tools used in professional music education.

Taking the Reins

Taking the Reins provides under-resourced girls hands-on natural science instruction through tending to and riding horses. A grant was given to rebuild a fireproof shade pergola over the tacking stalls used in equestrian programs for girls ages 5–17, essential for protecting students from extreme heat, ensuring safety and continued year-round access to transformative hands-on experiences with horses, gardening, and cooking.
